Discusses the decision of the US Supreme Court in Troxel v Granville (2000) 530 US 57 where it was held to be an unconstitutional interference in the rights of parents for grandparents to have title to seek visitation rights over their grandchildren. It is noted that Scots law is very similar to the rules struck down in this case, and it is suggested that Scots law has the better system here.
