This chapter details financial amendments and new powers to the original Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 inserted in Part of the ASP Act 2007. The amendments discussed are within powers of attorney, intervention orders and guardianship orders. The new power is Access to Funds which now allows a Scottish local authority and also reliable people known to the adult with incapacity to operate their finances. This is monitored by a public body called the Office of the Public Guardian.
