Removal Orders
Removal Orders
A removal order is a legal means of taking an adult suspected of being harmed in Scotland from any place to a specified place to protect them from harm. This chapter describes the court criteria and procedures required in such an application. It also discusses how to move the adult and to safeguard their property during the period of the removal order. A case study is used to illustrate these procedures. The chapter concludes with the views of service users and carers in the use of protection order.
