This chapter explains the scope and content of the provisions of the EU-Korea FTA relating to competition and subsidies. In doing so, the chapter discusses the rationale for addressing competition and subsidies in a single chapter of the FTA and how the FTA provisions have been influenced by the treatment of these subjects in EU law. It also compares the relevant provisions on subsidies with the rules found in WTO law.
