This book examines the message of Islam through two phenomena: the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad. It discusses the specificities of Islam by highlighting the function of religion as a means of explaining the enigmas of human existence. This introductory chapter provides overviews of the prophecy of Muhammad; Muhammad as a seal of prophecy; and the history of Islam.
