This chapter examines the corporatist interpretation of US Cold War foreign policy. It explains the concept of corporatism and contends that as a perspective in diplomatic history it shares with revisionism a focus on the domestic economic sources of foreign policy. It analyses the works of Michael J. Hogan and Thomas J. McCormick and argues that corporatism as a perspective remains underdeveloped and underutilised, at least in part because those who advocated it failed to explore its full potential.
