Chapter 2 presents a basic history of the Assyrians and explains their demographic distribution before, during and after the First World War. It discusses their involvement in various world conferences as well as external conflicts and internal divergences. Further, it clarifies the lens through which the Assyrians were and indeed continue to be viewed in most histories of the region.
